Hey everyone. Longtime no write.
Let’s see…two big cities two weekends in a row. Pretty crazy.
Went to New York with Mom, Dad, Pat and Chels and met a bunch of family there for the occasion. In New York we pretty much saw all the big sights that there are to see, the United Nations Building, Times Square, we were on national TV on the TODAY show during the Brooks and Dunn concert, we saw Grand Central Station, Broadway, Park Ave, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Wall Street, Central Park etc. etc. but the best part was probably my cousin Peter’s wedding at the Westin in Times Square. You should have seen Pat dancing. He pretty much had rubber legs…I had never seen him dance like that before.

This past weekend Kalie and I were in Chicago with Lifeline (Brady and the rest of that Ada crew). It was a really good weekend, except for the fact that Carol couldn’t come at the last minute. L Despite the setback we managed to have a pretty fun time hanging out with Drew and Jason and some new friends we met while we were there. We did some shopping on Michigan Avenue, Woddfield Mall, Ikea and we got to go to one of the biggest churches in America, Willow Creek. It was really cool to see that church and experience a service in a building of that size. We had some great Chicago style pizza and Chinese food while we were there as well. Oh- and I played UNO for the first time and won 5 times in a row! I was pretty proud (we won’t talk about how Drew beat me in the 6th game…)

I was bummed to miss our first football game and Sr. Parent night on Friday, but overall I know that it was worth it. I am excited to experience every aspect of Senior year, and missing the first game was a bummer, but I am realizing things like that won’t matter much in the long run. I learned a lot this weekend in Chicago and was especially challenged on Saturday night to think more about the type of impact I want to have and type of person I want to be. Missing the game Friday was a bummer, but this weekend brought me closer to Christ and that’s all that really matters. It was totally worth it.
We start school in a week. I start my senior year in a week. That’s crazy. Enjoy the last week of summer, everyone.
